Machinery safety & CE certification

Placed on the market. Legally.

Forty-five years on shuttle systems, AGVs and automated intralogistics — most recently as Safety Director at Movu Robotics, until 2026. Now independent, with nothing to sell you afterwards: I read your safety concept the way an auditor will, and carry your position into the ISO and CEN standards process.

The CE identification plate is the last thing fixed to the machine and the first thing an inspector reads. Everything in this practice is aimed at making it true.

What I do

Three ways I work with you.

Most machinery safety advice tells you where a standard is today. What decides your project is where it is going: EN ISO 3691‑4 is in revision and ISO 12895 is in ballot right now. That is the version your system will be judged against when it ships in eighteen months.

Stage 01

Safety concept review

Your risk assessment and safety functions read by someone who has seen these machines fail and has spent four decades on the clauses you are being measured against. Residual risk written down, not assumed away.

Stage 02

Standards representation

Your position carried into the national and international standards process for this machinery, and early warning before a change reaches your drawings.

Stage 03

Technical DOCUMENTATION support

Annex IV (MR) reviewed clause by clause, the declaration checked against what the machine actually does, and the plate verified before it is fixed.

The record

Four decades on the same problem.

Anyone can quote you the current version of a standard. What is worth paying for is knowing which sentence is about to change, and how long you have before it does.

A machine without a technical documentation is not on the market. It is exposed.

Send the layout drawing and I will tell you what the machine is, which standards apply, and where the risk actually sits.
